NSO/SP Ca II K-LINE MONITORING
PROGRAM
Description:
Daily measurements of the Ca II
K-line over
a sixty angstrom band center on 393.4
nm in light integrated over the entire visible solar disk are
performed daily (weather and resources permitting).
A mean K-line profile is stored for
each day on which observations are made. Several parameters
are abstracted from the profiles and are available via ftp.
These parameters include, the emission index (the integrated
flux over a
one angstrom band center on the
K-line), the K3 (central) intensity, the K2V/K2R ratio, the
K2V/K3 ratio, the K2 peaks and K1 minima separation, and the
Wilson-Bappu parameter.
