External Contamination
NASAN II
Description:
Spacecraft external contamination and plasma analysis
tool for calculating molecular deposition from direct flux and
return flux, molecular column densities and spacecraft
charging/plasma effects. Contaminant source modeling includes
materials outgassing, thruster plumes, vacuum venting
(multiphase, gas/liquid/solid). Code also allows for variable
geometry of the vehicle (such as solar array and radiator
rotations) and interaction between multiple spacecraft (such
as thruster firings during approach and separation).
