Phone: 713 483-5153
Goal: To use still photos and video
taken during rendevous, docked operations, and
departure/fly-around to survey the exterior of the Mir for
damage due to meteoroid/debris impacts, external
contamination effects, and exposed material degradation.

Goal: To provide Quartz Crystal
Microbalance (QCM) measurement of both transient and
persistent surface contamination produced by: (1) shuttle
Primary Reaction Control System (PRCS) engines, (2) Russian
13-kilogram(kg) attitude control and reboost thrusters on
MIR, and (3) the shuttle environment during moninal
operations.
