The Meteoroid and Orbital Debris Technical Working Group develops and integrates activities associated with meteoroid and debris related research and transfers this new technology to spacecraft designs.

Data from the Long Duration Exposure Facility (LDEF) showed how much the location of a component affects
its likelyhood of being damaged.
