LOS ALAMOS HIGH ENERGY TRANSPORT
(LAHET) CODE SYSTEM (LCS)
Description:
This collection of Monte Carlo codes
(including Oak Ridge National Laboratory's High Energy
Transport Code (HETC))offers simulation capacity for a variety
of particles in energy regimes from TEV down to thermal
energies. LAHET can be used to calculate the induced ionizing
radiation environment (including secondary particles) in 3-D
mass models from proton (trapped, solar, galactic) or albedo
neutron space environments. Applications include radiation
background and induced radioactivity predictions for space
experiments and sensors.
