The Surveying and Examination of Eroded Returned Surfaces (SEERS) Initiative evaluates returned space flight hardware from NASA science missions to further enhance future engineering designs required to withstand the space environment.  The products from these technical laboratory assessments will be infused into the Space Environments and Effects (SEE) Program for further development of space environment engineering technology activities.

In partnership with NASA Centers, the SEERS Initiative will help define the effects of the space environment on actual flight hardware and validate space environment models and prediction tools.
